To be completely fair, the flight attendants were very apologetic about the lack of pretzels and cookies.
Also: I did not have to use a seatbelt extender, even on the tiny commuter jet! I normally don’t have to use one, but the last time I flew to Boston, I did (on one out of the four flights between Louisville and Boston). I was very happy that this humiliating circumstance did not re-occur.
Artwork is from Adventures into the Unknown # 8. It is my understanding that this artwork is in the public domain. Even if it is not, I claim Fair Use, passengers!

It’s actually Joe’s man-girdle, but he’s so skinny now, he doesn’t need it. I’m too fat to fit into it though. I tried to put it on the other day and couldn’t even get it over my shoulders. Joe doesn’t know this. Don’t tell him. He would make fun of me. We should probably throw the damned thing away.
Artwork is from an advertisement in Crash Comics # 1. Due to its placement in the Internet Archive, I believe this material is in the public domain. If it is not, I still claim Fair Use, lardasses.

inThis comic is a lie. We knew who the culprit was as soon as we saw the mess in the kitchen. I had forgotten to put up the toddler-gate that we usually use to keep them out of the kitchen when we leave the house. Maxine’s prodigious vomiting for the next several hours was plenty of proof — but it was also plenty of punishment, I think. Not that she’ll learn her lesson or anything. Rotten hummus is the tastiest thing ever, and she’ll jump at the next chance to guzzle down some of that sweet shit. Do you blame her?

It started when we lived in Brooklyn, and we were just literally too busy to do anything about it. Get up, move the car so we didn’t get a ticket, spend two hours on the train, work eight to ten hours, two more hours on the train, get home, move the car so we didn’t get a ticket, walk the dogs, eat, bed. That was Brooklyn. Our life has settled down a lot since we moved back home, but we still haven’t done anything about the problem.
You don’t get water in your face when you’re driving or anything. Don’t get me wrong. We’re not that lazy.
But when it rains all night, there’s water in the floorboards, at least an inch or two. Seems that the sunroof is supposed to drain through a hollow space between the doors or something, and that’s where the leak or the clog or whatever is. We’re not the only owners of Saturn Vues who have this problem. Oh, yeah: I haven’t been too lazy to research this matter on the Internet. Ha! I’ve just been too lazy to do anything about it!
Joe’s no better. His current plan is to seal the sunroof with caulk. But he hasn’t done that, either.
Today’s artwork is from Poppo of the Popcorn Theater # 11. I have been led to believe that this artwork is in the public domain. Even if it is not, I claim Fair Use, clowns!
Poppo of the Popcorn Theater, by the way, is billed as “the clown who couldn’t help loving children.” Let that chill you deeply to the bone for a second there, or two or three.

It’s a moot point at the moment, since we live in Kentucky, where we couldn’t even get married if both of us wanted to. Joe finds it insulting that I’m not thrilled with the idea of someday getting married. I don’t mean to be insulting. Marriage makes me nervous, though. I guess it’s just something I never thought I’d have to think about, a decision that I imagined I’d never have to face, a Rubicon that only others had to cross — like being pregnant. Boy, am I glad I’ll never have to be pregnant!
Um. Scientists? Please don’t be working on that last thing there.

Personally, I’d much rather go see the Violent Femmes. I’ll bet they’ve quietened and calmed themselves considerably in the nearly 30 years it’s been since Joe saw them. I’ll bet they’re a bunch of old men with canes and oxygen tanks! Totally my speed.

It could be worse! At least I get paid!
I remember when money was more fun than it is now. Maybe that was my problem all along. There have been plenty of times in my life when I could have used my money more wisely, and I wouldn’t be living paycheck to paycheck now. Possibly. Who knows? Money, it’s a gas.
